I have been working on a version of Cloud Release on zinc plate. I had thought this would be one of the lightest ways of displaying this work in relation to the dense materiality of the rock. Now that I have brought it into the exhibition space it is being dominated by the rock and no method of display that I can think of avoids this unfortunate fact.
For the purposes of this exhibition I am also dissatisfied with the prospect of reducing cloud release into a single image. Making the repetitive nature of this experiment visible is integral in order to convey the exertion and failure inherent in the project.
Since I have little wall space at my disposal, I haven’t the room for multiple images, therefore I must find a more compact and effective method of display.
